We are now looking for our next Production Engineer for the cultivation section at Cytiva's manufacturing facility in Uppsala. The section currently consists of one production engineer and 9 process operators who together are responsible for delivering separation products to Cytiva's pharmaceutical manufacturing customers around the world. In the role of production engineer, you will have the opportunity to be challenged in a broad technical role in a complex production environment where quality, safety, and continuous improvement are at the center. Your responsibilities

In this role, you will have a central function in daily production and work closely with production, quality, and development. Your main responsibilities include:

• Supporting production staff in daily work and contributing to stable and efficient production.
• Driving and participating in improvement work related to quality, EHS, and production capacity.
• Establishing, updating, and ensuring relevant manufacturing and process documentation.
• Preparing, driving, and following up CC cases (Change Control).
• Collaborating closely with R&D during the introduction and industrialization of new products.
• Leading and participating in root cause analyses, deviation investigations, and corrective actions.

The main requirements for the position are:

• We are looking for someone with a university degree in chemistry, process engineering, or similar, or substantial work experience in a similar role.
• Experience in process industry, preferably in protein manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of cell culture processes is an advantage.
• Experience working with automation systems.
• Experience in validation and qualification work within the process industry.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

To be successful in the role of production engineer, we would like you to be a communicative person with a good ability to build relationships and coordinate activities with employees from different parts of the organization. Furthermore, we hope you have a solid technical interest and the ability to drive multiple parallel activities simultaneously, take initiatives based on available information, and make independent decisions. You are meticulous and organized in your way of working and have good problem-solving skills.
